Senior Pastor, Dr. Zach Sizemore
I grew up in a little town called Jonesville, in the foothills of North Carolina. I can not recall a time that my life did not revolve around the church. Saved and Baptized at age 7, and began preaching at age 17.
1983, I married my childhood sweetheart, that I have called babydoll for 35 years now. Karen and I moved to South Georgia. After being married less than 2 years, I accepted the pastorate of Peoples Baptist Church of Folkston, GA.
I met a lot of good men along my journey. Ordained by my father, Dr. Jerry Sizemore. I was pushed along by men like Henkle Little, Carl Lackey, Fred Potter, Billy Kelly, Joe Davis, Jack Wood Sr., Don Green, Leeroy Dalrymple, Maze Jackson, Bill Belcher, and Rayton Puckett, just to name a few.
I've pastored 5 churches, Peoples Baptist Church, Deep River Baptist Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, Mountain View Baptist Church, and for over 16 years Sloan Lake Community Church.
3 grown children, 3 grandchildren, with more on the way. All of the trip wasn't pleasant, but the joy in my heart far out weighs the scars and tears.
